Fangchenggang Power Plant is located in Chisha Village, Qisha Town, Fangchenggang City, with a planned installed capacity of 2.58 million kilowatts and will be built in two phases. The first phase of the project will build two 630,000 kW coal-fired supercritical generating units, which have entered commercial operation in September 2007 and January 2008 respectively. The second phase of the project will build two 660,000 kilowatt coal-fired ultra-supercritical generating units and a 100,000-ton special coal unloading wharf, and enter commercial operation in November and December 2016 respectively.
