Zhuhai Power Plant is located in Lingang Industrial Zone, Nanshui Town, Jinwan District, Zhuhai City, 50 kilometers east of Zhuhai City, covering an area of 1.15 million square meters. Zhuhai Power Plant is a large-scale thermal power plant jointly built by China and foreign countries, and is one of the key projects of the national "Ninth Five-Year Plan", the project plans to install six 600MW units, and the first phase of construction of two 700MW coal-fired units, all the main equipment, including boilers and steam engines for Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries equipment, generators for United States Westinghouse equipment, the first phase of the project with a total investment of 9.98 billion yuan equivalent to RMB. The feasibility study report of the first phase of the project was approved by the State Council in September 1995.
